ATTILA Signs With ARTERY RECORDINGS
February 11, 2010Artery Recordings, the new joint venture between management company The Artery Foundation and Razor & Tie, has announced the signing of ATTILA to the label. The band's new album, "Rage", will be released this summer. The self-proclaimed "Atlanta party metal" group, which meshes a hard-partying attitude with death metal riffage, is about to enter the studio in Portland, Oregon with producer Stephen Hawkes (BURNING THE MASSES, AMERICAN ME).
Commented the band, "Our aim is to create heavy music that is extremely fun to listen to, and even more fun to enjoy at a live concert. Every show is a party.
"The word 'rage' has multiple meanings, ranging from a state of anger to the slang term for a crazy party. The lyrics cover both."
Mike Milford of Artery Recordings said, "We first heard of attila through the band's close friends and now Artery Recordings labelmates CHELSEA GRIN. We checked the band out on the 'Grand Slam' tour and the energy the band brought to the venue was intense."
ATTILA, whose members range in age from 17 to 22, formed in 2005 and has released two albums thus far, "Fallacy" and "The Soundtrack To A Party". The band's lead singer Fronz hilariously requested to be made into a male model and was featured in an episode of MTV's "Made".
ATTILA will tour Europe with HED P.E. and THREAT SIGNAL from March 3 to April 10.
